Baptism is a public profession of your faith in Jesus Christ. It’s the next step after your salvation. Although baptism is commanded to the believer, it is not to be confused with salvation itself. We are not saved by being baptized. Baptism is simply the outward sign of the inward change; it is 'going public with your faith.' Just as Jesus was buried in the tomb, and He rose, defeated sin and death so that we could have eternal life, so we make our profession of faith, following the example that He has set for us. Contact a member of our pastoral staff if you’d like to talk further about getting baptized at an upcoming Crosspoint service.
